ABOUT COLLEGE

Located in the shadows of Dhauladar Hills, blessed by Baba Baijnath (Lord Shiva) and situated at the bank of Binva khud, Paprola village is proud of its Rajiv Gandhi Govt. Post Graduate Ayurvedic College.The college came into existence in the year 1972 by the name of Him Ayurvedic College as a private institution under the supervision of Vaid Hakim Parishad of Himachal Pradesh by the efforts of Vaid Jagan Nath Sharma. At that time it was affiliated with Punjab faculty Chandigarh. 

ADMINISTRATION

The college works under the overall administrative control of Hon’ble  Minister for Health & FW and Ayurveda, Secretary (ayurveda) and Director (Ayurveda) Government of Himachal Pradesh. Principal is the incharge of Administrative/ academic and research activities at Paprola. The college has well laid out infrastructure which includes administrative  & Library book Anatomy block, College old building, Hospital, Pharmacy, Boys and Girls hostels, Principal’s residence.

There are 14 Departments in the college. All the departments are spacious,well wquiped and have highly qualified and experienced faculty. Except Sharir Rachna, Sharir Kriya and Agad Tantra, all other departments are Post Graduate departments. In near future these departments also propose to start post graduation.
